Over the past years, the General Directorate of Issuance has organized numerous training courses in cooperation with various entities, with the aim of promoting banking awareness in the field of currency. These courses focused on educating currency users about the key security features of the Sudanese Pound, as well as raising awareness of the General Directorate of Issuance’s policies regarding clean currency and combating counterfeiting. Several papers were presented during these courses, covering the following areas:
Security Features of the Sudanese Pound
Implementation of the Clean Currency Policy
Counterfeiting, Forgery, and the Legal Framework for Counterfeiting Crimes
Money in the Economy
The General Directorate of Issuance organized these courses in coordination with relevant entities, such as the General Directorate of Forensic Evidence and the Sudanese Banks Union, in addition to several Sudanese universities, including Sudan University, the Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, and the University of Gezira. The Directorate also coordinated with the Automated Vehicle Inspection Centers.
The Directorate conducted these courses at the aforementioned universities, at the Sudanese Banks Union, or at centers that requested such training. These free training courses aim to transfer knowledge and raise awareness among the largest possible segment of the public dealing with cash.
