Adoption of the National Number alongside Documents for Opening a Bank Account

The Central Bank of Sudan today issued a circular to banks approving the adoption of the national number for the purpose of opening bank accounts. This comes within the framework of simplifying and facilitating account-opening procedures for the public. Banks are required to verify the validity of the national number provided by the customer through the system of the Civil Registry Authority.
