Ms. Amina Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, issued Administrative Decision No. (18) of 2026, providing for the voluntary liquidation of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Sudan Branch.

The decision was issued pursuant to the powers vested in the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan and in accordance with Article (50) of the Banking Business Organization Act of 2004.

The decision stipulated that it would take effect from the date of its issuance, March 3, 2026, corresponding to 14 Ramadan 1447 AH. It also instructed all relevant authorities to implement the decision immediately.

In a related context, the decision was published in two local newspapers in compliance with the provisions of Article (84/4) of the Banking Business Organization Act of 2026.
