Introduction to the Principles of Financial Consumer Protection:

The Central Bank of Sudan works to protect consumers of financial services by strengthening systems and procedures for safeguarding users of financial services, ensuring services are provided with the highest level of quality and transparency, clarifying all the rights and obligations of users, and providing them with adequate protection.

In this context, the Central Bank of Sudan provides information that contributes to educating consumers of these services and raising awareness in this regard. This is done by making an educational bulletin available to the public on its website, which contains the ten principles of financial consumer protection applied across all regional and international financial institutions. In addition, a short complaint submission form is made available via email to the complaints department at: Consumer.Protection@CBOS.GOV.SD.

The Central Bank of Sudan also ensures the compliance of banks and financial institutions with the ten principles of financial consumer protection through both desk and field inspections.
